I was having probably the best day of my life, because it was the Friday before Spring Break. Just as I walk in the door, I turn on my computer and check my mail. I get an email saying, "we are sorry to inform you, but you did not make the R.A. position." At that moment, after having an amazing week and having prayer's answered. It felt like my world crashed down, my prayer however, had not been heard. I was saddened and bitter. I knew in a short time that the prayer room would be the best place for a one on one conference with God about my dilemma. As I walk down six street, I talk to God, looking for answers. I think to myself, oh great I failed God somehow and now he's angry at me. I enter the prayer room and take off my shoes, unaware of someone in the room, I occupy the farthest corner in the room and pray. Tears stream down my face as I ask for answers, as I question God. Knowing I can't be bitter for all the happiness I have had, and the amazing miracles that have happened in just short over a week; someone approaches me. It is the guy from the shift before mine. After ten minutes of searching for answers, he approaches and I think oh great I'm in trouble. Actually he opens up the Bible and shares with me an interesting passage from psalm 42 and 43. "Have hope in the Lord". It hit me right then and there that this passage was speaking to me providing me the answer I was looking for. God knows your heart and as long as you put your hope in the Lord, he will provide. It was unexpected, but this guy seemed to know I was down and he immediately shared with me with God was telling him. That I should not worry, he will provide, that he is good and fair, he is here with me and he has plans for my heart being somewhere else. I came here looking to hide in shame and sadness and instead found answers and hope renewed.

Welcome to the 24-7 Prayer Online Journal!
PLEASE leave a record of your prayer time: things prayed for and ways God spoke to you (and of course, what He said). This will help us pray as a community, even if we aren't all here together.
TO SCHEDULE YOUR PRAYER TIME: Go to the Prayer Calendar (password: prayer) and double-click on the time you want. Fill in the necessary info. (If you want to select the same time over several days, put this in the "Repeat Information" box.)
