fire in the night

As my time here tonight is ending, I just kind of got this cool picture. Like when two things go crashing into each other and then both go crashing away in opposite directions. It's something significant in physics... That was a few years ago..
Anyways.
In this room, we crash into God and He crashes into us. And we pray and send God out into our campus and the lives of our friends and family and the world, and at the same time, God sends us out into our campus and the lives of our friends and family and the world.
It's not a perfect illustration. Because we're not crashing away in the opposite direction from God- we're going out in the same direction, together. Partnering with God in His purpose. But God just showed me that yes we meet in here, but it doesn't end here. When we crash together in this room, that momentum is conserved (ooh physics talk) and goes crashing out of this room. Both of us. I pray and talk to God and He moves. At the same time, God talks to me and calls me to move. We don't come together and then stay still. We crash back out into the world! And then crash into other people and send them pinballing all over the place? Maybe I'm taking this too far. Or maybe not. It's late :-/ But God is good. Yeah!
