Just what kind of God do we serve?

Who led the Jews out of slavery and into a land with milk and honey?
Who took Joseph, a slave, and gave him the ability to save his family?
Who took on the flesh of man and allowed himself to be bound, led, beaten and killed?
Who sent his servant to unlock Peter's chains and take him out of prison?
Who shook the earth and loosened the chains of Paul and Silas?

Who is this God of freedom?

Who is this Spirit that brings life and freedom?

Who is this Father who hears his children's cries?

Who is this Son who by humility saves and by glory rules?

A quick glance around this room will tell you a story. You will see chains broken. You will see poetic cries for freedom. You will see a testimony of freedom coming from forgiveness.

You will see God trying to tell us something.

We are being led out of Egypt.

We are being moved out of slaves quarters.

We are set free by Jesus' blood.

Are chains are being loosened.

The ground is shaking and doors are swinging open.

Will we cling to are chains?

Are will we be free?
