The world is lame

We are lame. Not as in "not cool" but as in "burdened with dieases that keep us from God." Recently I hurt my foot and so when I had the urge to dance with JOY for the work God is doing here, I couldn't. It made me realize that some people in this world want to know God, but there is an illness holding them back. Whatever that may be. The world needs healing from being lame. How will this happen? God keeps telling me to be bold in action. When the young church prayed for boldness in Acts 4 it brought a trend in missionaries. Paul repetedily talks about being bold for Christ througout his letters. We need to be bold in our actions, not just our words. Pray for boldness together! Miracles are happening in our boldness. Fear nothing but God. I read through the book of James (version The Message), who also told us to ask God boldly for help. Some of the parts that really stood out to me:

There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. (1)
My dear friends, don't let public opinioin influence how you live out your glorious, Christ-orientated faith.(2)
Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? (2)
Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. ... Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet. (4)

Oh, another thing I reflected on was how many people missed out on having a childhood. For one reason or another we grew up before we knew what it was like to be a child. God told me, as a friend recently said, to get back to the basics. Have faith like a child. Allow Him to be your Father and take care of you. Climb into His lap and let Him wrap His arms around you. It's not a sin to be childish. Have you ever noticed how much joy children have in the simplest things? Be joyful in the Lord and get back to basics.

God bless and protect you today.
Audrey
