Prayer for the loveless

Before coming to pray this morning, I walked out of my dorm room to find my hallway completely trashed. It looked as if someone had torn through the night before in a rage and caused as much destruction as possible. I was filled with sorrow, not as much for the victims of this (and other acts of violence) as for the people who are hard-hearted, mean-spirited, and abusive.
I don't understand how people can be so unloving. Then God told me that it's because they are without love. They are without love, and so they don't know how to act with love. I was deeply moved to pray for the people in the world who cause conflict, for those who abuse, and for those who destroy. I pray for Shalom for them. They need it most!
