4am Love Poetry

Lord, its awesome to be here, to be up with you at 4am!
Your presence is in this place...and people don't want to leave!!! No one is rushing out of here saying "Let me get back to bed!" Lord, your presence is better than sleeping!!
"This is my cry
My one desire
is to be where you are
is to be with you"
The worship CD thats playing sums up the feeling in this place.

The air in here tingles with excitement
pregnant with possibilities
of prayers (those spoken and those yet unuttered)

Dancing cheek-to-cheek tango
with the mystery of the Great I AM

Rolling over, in tumbling laughter through greenest meadows
with the Son who has conquered death

Covered with a rainbow parachute of love
by the Holy Spirit

What kind of a place is this?

A place full of God! A place drenched in his unfathomable, anything-is-possible, maddening, captivating, can't-get-enough presence!

Better than anything you've tried! Better than Christmas, your birthday, and a honeymoon all rolled into one! Better than winning the lottery or becoming famous. An hour with Him (two, three, four, where's the time going???) dwarves our 1 dimensional attempts to satisfy our hearts.

This is it! This is where it's at!
I'll give up shooting up with success, affirmation of people, looking good. Take that needle out! Let our bludgeoned veins heal while we feast on what is really life!

And this is just the hors' dourves! A foretaste of the BANQUET to come! When JESUS, yes, JESUS HIMSELF will take us as his bride at the greatest, most lavish, out-of-this-world party the world has ever seen!
